Job Description
• Installing or repairing cranes or other lifting equipment such as hoists or forklifts
• Inspecting equipment to ensure it is in good working order
• Performing regular maintenance and inspections of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment
• Installing new cranes and other lifting equipment, including conducting engineering calculations, surveying work sites, and designing crane supports
• Maintaining records of work performed on equipment in order to track service history and detect any potential problems before they occur
• Maintaining records of workplace safety in order to identify hazards and take corrective action
• Operating cranes or other lifting equipment to move materials from one location to another
• Inspecting crane components for signs of wear or damage in order to identify possible causes of accidents
• Performing routine maintenance on cranes, including greasing bearings and replacing parts as needed
• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of cranes, including but not limited to:
o Hydraulic cranes
o Pneumatic cranes
o Electric cranes
o Diesel cranes
o Gasoline cranes
• Troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs in a timely manner
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
• Assist with the installation of new cranes as needed
• Train other technicians and workers on proper crane operation and maintenance procedures
• Adhere to all safety regulations while working
• Perform regular inspections of cranes and equipment
Knowledge and Experience
• Proven experience as a crane technician (5+ years)
• Extensive knowledge of SANY heavy equipment
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations
