The HR Business Partner should be a trusted advisor to senior line management on all human capital management matters with a commercial understanding of the business unit strategy, priorities and operating model to ensure the right people capabilities are in place to deliver optimum business performance. The role is accountable for all aspects of HR delivery via functional specialists and Service Delivery-including talent acquisition; employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application, performance and compensation management consultation; and talent management consultation. May lead on specific initiatives and input into those designed by others. Champions employee interests when required
Job Description
Workforce Optimization
Play an advisory role in creating and managing a lean and multi-skilled workforce. Support and facilitate the implementation of business structure reorganization and consolidation to deliver efficiencies. Play a key role in communicating organizational messages and monitoring feedback within the business units. Look at business unit productivity and take necessary actions to improve it.
Employee Relations
Manage ER issues within the business units. Support line managers in creating a culture of employee engagement. Reinforce at all times a culture of meritocracy, performance-focus and diversity. Act as an advisor to line managers in order to educate them and minimise risk. Ensure compliance with local law and Group policy throughout the employee lifecycle. Communicate and implement changes to HR policies and procedures. Ensure disciplinary procedure is properly applied before any employee is exited from the business.
Financial Management
Provide line management with regular and financial reporting of employee costs and evaluate people initiatives. Ensure annual manpower budgeting exercise is conducted accurately and efficiently. Create, obtain approval for and manage HR Department budget. Ensure HR Team adherence to the business financial systems and processes.
Governance
• To ensure compliance to HR policy is maintained, to review and strengthen business internal controls and procedures, ensure compliance and provide leadership on process and governance. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and other requirements.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures, conferring with the shareholders, company officers, and staff members as necessary.
• Develop procedures and processes that adequately support the business and secure the quality of the work.
Quality Health & Safety
• Ensure activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and security, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
• Safeguard the company assets and assets given in to the care of the company.
• Ensure all operations comply with industry standards and regulations
Experience
• Ten (10) years HR experience with at least two (2) years of HR Business Partner experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing commercial environment
• Ability to set high personal goals and work independently
• Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues
